Sprinkle

Jim Beau got sprinkled a.k.a baptized last weekend.  He was a good boy and I only had to take him out of the service towards the very end of the sermon.  Jane Ritchie was a good girl when standing in front of the church.  She even said, "I do" to some of the questions the preachers were asking Mommy and Daddy!   May May and Gan Gan, Grandma Marty and our friends Admiral and Mrs. Bruner were there.  Jane Ritchie's friend Evy and her mommy joined us afterwards for brunch at the house.

Jim Beau had two gown options.  One was Daddy's when he was baptized.  We put it on him and we thought the neck was a little tight, plus it had puffy sleeves and looked a little girly.   So, we decided on the other gown.   This gown was made by Lily Sawada who is May May's good friend.  May May snagged it at a silent auction last year at FUMC Montgomery.

Fun around the house

Jane Ritchie likes to make tents for Jim Beau.  I'm not sure if he likes it or not!

Oops!

Mommy forgot to turn off the bath water!  I wonder when she would have hollered for me?  When it started overflowing?

Happy Easter

Besides the fact that we ate too many Easter M&Ms, we had a great Easter.   We actually made it to early church and left Jim Beau in the nursery for the first time.  Then we came home and attempted to look for Easter eggs.   Unfortunately, Jane Ritchie had an irrational fear of gnats that day so she wasn't very into the hunting or taking pictures outside!  We had brunch at the Clubhouse here in our neighborhood.  It was decent and we learned that they serve breakfast every Sunday there until 2 p.m.!  All in all, I was proud that I stuck to my Lenten commitment to give up Facebook and I actually let someone take my picture!   I started worrying that there would be no pictures of me with the babies!

Getting Ready for Easter

Our porch is covered in pollen, but coloring eggs was much more fun outside!   Silly Mommy thought it would be a great afternoon activity.  Too bad it only took about 30 minutes!

May May and Jane Ritchie made this Easter egg tree while I was in Gainesville.

My new bunnies.

I read in a magazine how to make unique Easter eggs using old silk ties.  So, I went to Goodwill today and found two ties for $1.99 each.   Only one of them worked, but I think it turned out pretty good!   You wrap the egg up tightly with a piece of the tie and secure the ends with rubber bands.  Then you drop them in boiling water for 15 minutes.  If I was a better blogger, I would have taken pictures of the process!  :)

Jane Ritchie is all about matching these days so now we have matching Easter toes.  Don't worry, hers won't show at church on Sunday!

Obama said what???
